This is the deal: I have lowered the purchase price but there are conditions: First, for $200.00, additional, I will replace the McCaulley brake disc's. For $130.00, I will install a brand new aircraft battery. I will install a brand new interior and rugs at cost of materials plus some small labor charge. I think the plastic parts will cost about $1,600.00 but this can change. Avionics are the buyers responsibility.
This plane can be certified for IFR operations with installation of a new Vacuum pump (as required by the FAA) and a complete pitot system check.
I purchased this aircraft in 1976 as the second owner. I have flown this aircraft extensively throughout the USA. In fact, I have flown it in all 48 states. The paint of the tail contains 50 blue stars (on each side of the tail) to indicate each of the 50 united states. This with the white base and red trim (see photos) makes this airplane a patriotic transporter of people!
Due to medical reasons, I must regretfully part with my baby! I hope a good new owner can be found?
The aircraft was last painted (Imiron) in 1995 and is in good condition now.
This airplane fly's like a dream and knows what the sky is really for. it is a great low cost time builder. Annual inspections are not expensive and Insurance is not expensive.
Log books are available.
The Flight times are:
2116.0 – Hobbs
4044.9 – Tach
540.0 -- Engine TSOH (2000 hours to Major Overhaul, 1460.0 remaining) Note: These engines can exceed the 2000 hour requirement if oil pressure is acceptable.
Operability of the Avionics is not known. Some equipment may require a shop visit to ensure operability. The aircraft has not flown in three years but the engine has been run up regularly
Standard flight instruments
King KMA 20TSO – Switching Panel
King KX170B with Glide Slope and marker Beacon lights.
SRD LNAV LORAN connected to a separate OBS (VFR only)
King KT76 with remote altitude encoder (needs to be connected to the Transponder)
EBC-102A Electronic Location Transmitter
Aircraft is STC’d for auto fuel
This aircraft will be sold with a current annual Inspection as of the sale date.
The aircraft had good seats (red/white), no tears at all.
The entire plastic interior needs to be replaced since Cessna used thin UV susceptible plastic and the aftermarket panels are thicker and better UV resistant. The old plastic interior has been removed.
The rugs need to be replaced.
There are some other discrepancies that are minor and will be discussed with prospective buyers. I am an A & P with IA and can do some work at additional cost.
This aircraft fly’s well and is very economical to own and fly.
At 2350 rpm leaned to best power, the plane trues out at 103 mph and burns exactly 5.0 gallons per hour of autogas. I do not recommend 100 LL fuel. The valves can stick and will cause serious and expensive problems.
The aircraft is located on my farm in western PA. It is readily available for viewing with an appointment. Please call me at 814.591.3017 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This aircraft is for sale in AS-IS condition and must be picked up by the purchaser.
